Lite Feed Balancer is a cereal-grain-free, low sugar and starch, ‘Non-Heating’, and high fibre formula; with a considered level of protein to help maintain muscle function but avoid promoting body condition.
Lite Feed Balancer provides horses and ponies with all the micronutrients required, ensuring they still receive their necessary vitamins and minerals whilst being fed a low-calorie feed. This very palatable balancer can be fed either on its own or with a little TopChop Lite.
Long term trials have shown that horses and ponies on restricted/poor grazing (i.e. calorie-controlled) do not gain any additional weight when fed Lite Feed Balancer, meaning it can be used very successfully as part of a calorie-controlled diet when weight loss is required.
Due to previously mentioned qualities, Lite Feed Balancer is suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis, or horses and ponies undergoing veterinary care. However, AntiLam Forage Balancer is recommended to be fed in these circumstances to provide a higher level of micronutrients.
